NICKNAMES BILLY SHEARS HAS BEEN KNOWN BY
Don't even bother to ask why but: Doonesbury, BLT, Larabie, Sir Lawrencealot, Harry Schmeeman, Lorenzo Thorndyke, Larry Love.ORGANIZATIONS BILLY SHEARS IS A MEMBER OF
I've been in the Knights of Columbus Council #794 in Lindenhurst, N.Y. since May of 1992. I've also been a fourth degree Sir Knight since about 1995. http://members.tripod.com/kofc_794BILLY SHEARS' APPROACH TO SPORTS
Alas, I have never been a sports fan. I have, however, always tried to humor others just a smidge and don't mind-even have been known to enjoy- spending a day at Shea. Because I lived only a short distance from Shea Stadium until about my 12th birthday, I am an honorary Met fan, with souvenir clothes and all.Let's go, Mets! http://www.mets.mlb.com
BILLY SHEARS'S SENSE OF HUMOR
I have an altogether silly, obnoxious, annoying approach to humor. No, to my chagrin, I have neither a brother Daryl and another brother Daryl nor do I have friends Moe, Shemp, Curly or Joe. I most certainly do, however, tend to get people as crazy as they do.BILLY SHEARS'S RELIGIOUS, CULTURAL AND POLITICAL BELIEFS
I am a Catholic and do not see any point in deviating from the Church's orthodox teachings. I cannot accept anything like abortion, euthanasia, homosexuality, embryonic stem cell research, suicide(physician assisted or otherwise) or anything else that goes against natural law. I am a member of the Lay Carmelite Order http://www.carmelites.com and an MI-1 in the Knights of the Immaculata. Learn more about St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe at: http://www.consecration.com I am entirely pro Western Culture.BILLY SHEARS'S INTERESTS
I have always been quite a fanatical fan of the Beatles. John, Paul, George and Ringo reign supreme in my ears. www.beatles.com Other 60's and pop music in general, especially up to the early 80's are among my favorites too. I also like classical, jazz, opera, show tunes, etc.Having studied literature in school I am always eager to remain as literate as possible. I enjoy the classics in novels, prose, poetry, plays, etc. New trendy stuff doesn't strike me as interesting.
